Aldagram Raises 2.0 Billion Yen in Series B to Evolve "KANNA" into a Field AI Platform
— Cumulative funding reaches 5.55 billion yen as the company accelerates AI-first product development and global expansion —
Aldagram Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hikaru Nagahama; hereinafter "Aldagram"), which works to improve frontline productivity in deskless industries worldwide such as construction, real estate, and manufacturing, today announced the completion of a Series B round totaling 2.0 billion yen. The round was joined by three existing shareholders — JAFCO Group Co., Ltd., MonotaRO Co., Ltd., and Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd. — bringing cumulative funding since founding to approximately 5.55 billion yen.
Since its launch in 2020, "KANNA" has grown into a service supporting the digital transformation of frontline operations in construction, real estate, manufacturing, and other industries, and is now used by 100,000 companies (1) across more than 100 countries. With this round, Aldagram will accelerate the evolution of "KANNA" into a "Field AI Platform"* and drive AI-first product development together with global expansion.

■ Financing Overview
- Round: Series B
- Total round size: 2.0 billion yen
- Participating investors: JAFCO Group Co., Ltd., MonotaRO Co., Ltd., Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd.
- Cumulative funding: Approx. 5.13 billion yen
■ Background to the Financing
"KANNA" has worked to raise frontline productivity as a service supporting the digital transformation of frontline operations in deskless industries around the world, including construction, real estate, and manufacturing. Since the service launched in July 2020, its user base has continued to expand, and in July 2026 the number of companies using KANNA in Japan and overseas surpassed 100,000 (*1). It is currently used in more than 100 countries, including Japan, and supports six languages: Japanese, English, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian (details: 〈link to the 100,000-company milestone release — insert after publication〉).
Meanwhile, conditions surrounding the frontline are becoming increasingly severe. In Japan, bankruptcies caused by labor shortages have hit a record high for three consecutive years, with construction the most affected industry (*2). As the pool of frontline workers continues to shrink, improving productivity through AI is becoming ever more important.
Yet the use of AI in frontline operations has not been established anywhere in the world. Frontline information remains scattered across paper, Excel, whiteboards, and verbal communication, leaving it in a state where AI cannot deliver its full value. Aldagram believes that digitizing and structuring frontline information — and building a data foundation that allows each company to make use of AI — is the key to raising frontline productivity in the age of AI. It is against this backdrop that Aldagram carried out this financing in order to further accelerate its business.
■ Use of Funds and Future Business Strategy
1. Evolving into a "Field AI Platform"
Aldagram will evolve "KANNA" into a "Field AI Platform" in which AI supports and automates customers' operations, starting from frontline data. Specifically, the company will strengthen the following three layers as an integrated whole.
- Digitizing frontline information with AI: By embedding AI into KANNA's core functions — such as Voice AI for reporting and AI OCR for forms — Aldagram will accelerate the digitization and structuring of frontline information scattered across paper, voice, and other formats, reducing the burden of data entry in the field.
- Building a foundation for external system and AI integration: Aldagram will connect frontline data with the systems and data dispersed across an organization to build a data foundation that AI can use. In addition, the "KANNA MCP Server," launched in July 2026, provides an environment in which external AI systems and AI agents can make use of KANNA's data and functions.
- Developing AI agents: Through offerings such as "KANNA Agent," AI will draw on accumulated and connected frontline data to support and automate customers' operations. At the same time, Aldagram will work closely with customers' day-to-day operations to advance more sophisticated ways of using AI that lead to genuine business transformation.

2. Accelerating Global Expansion
"KANNA" is already used in more than 100 countries, and challenges such as labor shortages and frontline productivity are shared worldwide, not limited to Japan. Aldagram will strengthen product development, sales structures, and partnerships for overseas markets to accelerate its rollout to frontlines around the world.
As the management foundation supporting this growth, Aldagram is also transforming its own operations and organization on the premise of AI (evolving into an AI-native company). Rather than relying on simply increasing headcount, the company aims to achieve both growth and profitability by raising per-person productivity through AI. Aldagram is also hiring for key positions essential to its future growth, including AI and product development and global business.
■ About the Participating Investors
The round was joined by three existing shareholders that have supported Aldagram's growth to date.
JAFCO Group Co., Ltd.
Atsushi Fujii, Partner, Head of Investment Division
General Manager of Investment Division Partner
Compared with 2021, when JAFCO first invested, the need to improve productivity has continued to grow amid soaring material costs and an increasingly severe labor shortage. At the same time, the "DX" trend has evolved into "AI," widening the range of problems that can be solved. KANNA's role as a bridge — determining how the latest technological innovation is actually applied and adopted on the frontline — is becoming ever more important.
Looking at the vast market of deskless workers on the frontline, Aldagram's vision of driving solutions not just in Japan but globally makes its future all the more exciting to watch.
MonotaRO Co., Ltd.
Sakuya Tamura, President and CEO
Since MonotaRO's investment and business alliance in 2022, Aldagram has steadily grown its business and expanded into overseas markets, and KANNA has also been adopted by our customers, primarily in the construction and manufacturing industries.
Collaboration between Aldagram and MonotaRO on the ground has progressed steadily, and we are working to enhance the value we deliver while deepening our understanding of customers' operations and challenges.
Through this investment in the Series B round, we will further deepen our partnership
with Aldagram and work together to improve productivity for even more customers and create the value of time.
Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd.
Tetsuaki Inatsugu, Executive Vice President, Head of Marketing Division
To date, we have collaborated with Aldagram through "KANNA" to solve challenges on the frontline, beginning with construction.
Our participation in this financing takes that collaboration to the next stage, building on the relationship of trust the two companies have established. By combining our respective strengths and expertise and continuing to evolve the service based on the voices of the frontline, we will deliver reliable value to a wide range of customers in Japan and overseas.
We will continue to create and popularize services that stay close to the frontline, further broadening the ways we can be of service to customers as we work toward a sustainable and prosperous society.
■ About the Field AI Platform "KANNA"
"KANNA" is a "Field AI Platform" that helps improve frontline productivity in deskless industries worldwide, including construction, real estate, and manufacturing. Like the Japanese carpenter's plane (kanna) from which it takes its name, it shaves away administrative work, travel time, and communication overhead to maximize productivity. The app is rated 〈4.3〉 out of 5 on the App Store. It is designed to be simple and easy to use, even for those unfamiliar with IT tools. Aldagram offers two services: "KANNA Project," a project management app supporting frontlines around the world, and "KANNA Report," a digital forms app that advances paperless operations (KANNA Report was granted a patent in September 2024). Having grown as a service supporting the digital transformation of frontline operations, "KANNA" will continue to evolve into a platform where AI supports and automates operations, starting from frontline data.
